Mt. Airy Holiday Dinner

The annual holiday dinner for the Mt. Airy shelter will be Sunday, December 7th, right after the celebration. This has been a wonderful outreach that blesses those from the church as much as those at the shelter. Since the Vineyard Westside is about the only church that ministers to these guys, they are very much looking forward to us being there again this year. Yes, VWS Is Moving With New Service Times

It is official! Tell everyone you know we will NOT be meeting at the Danbarry for Sunday Services starting Sunday November 16^th. We will be moving to 3420 Glenmore Ave for all services. Please mark your calendars and tell everyone, we will be at one location starting November 16^th. New times will be Saturday 6:30 pm and Sunday 10:30 am.

We are simply too busy to hear God’s voice in our lives. We spend a lot of time talking and a very small amount of time listening. All throughout our lives we are being broken open and poured out. God is calling us to slow down so that He can fill us back up and put us back together again.

Here are 4 steps towards a time fast:

1. Take an inventory of your daily life and be honest with yourself about what keeps you “TOO BUSY”

2. Replace the “too busy” time with 1-2 Hours each day to be alone with God (sitting outside, walking, praying, meditating).

3. Do it!!!! Let Him take your junk from you and replace that junk with purpose, clarity and wonder.

4. Find someone in your life who can hold you to this.

Encounter // November 5th

Our next Encounter event will be held on Wednesday, November 5th at our Glenmore Ave. location.

If you haven’t experienced Encounter…you’re missing out! It is our desire to invite the God of the bible to show off to us His glory and majesty. We spend a good amount of time in worship and prayer and the Holy Spirit is always present. Go deeper @ Encounter.

The Blast

THE BLAST

When: Friday, October 31^st. (Dinner will start at 5 pm for volunteers and THE BLAST starts at 6 pm for everybody!)

Where: 3420 Glenmore parking lot

What: THE BLAST is an alternative to Halloween.

It takes a night that glorifies “the loser” and our goal is to make it a night that glorifies Jesus! But we need your help!
This Saturday and Sunday, we’ll be collecting names to help us with THE BLAST. Even if you can only give us an hour, we’ll take it! There will be food and snacks to sell, games to play, shows to watch, mazes to go through, candy to distribute, costume contests to judge, and people to show God’s love, etc.!
We’re asking Life Groups to collect candy, have a game, and get people to help with that game. We’re asking Outreach people to love, pray and talk with kids and families who come. We’re asking Student Ministry to help with the maze! And we’re asking all of you to invite your friends to an event that has been in the past, an open door for people to start a relationship with Jesus.
