background and vision
In 2005, God began speaking to Tim Urmston about the need for a Vineyard Church on the West side of Cincinnati. Although there were many naysayers and doubters, God proved faithful with a small group of devoted volunteers. We talked with several people to pull together an “interest” meeting on the West side to see who might be on board with making this thing happen. Much to our surprise, the interest was huge–40 of us packed the Front Porch Coffee House where we discussed hopes and dreams for the West side.

Our journey began by renting out the cafeteria of Dater High School every other Thursday. We had between 40-80 people show up for a few months and we decided that we needed something bigger. A door opened up at the DanBarry movie theater in Western Hills, and 175 people attended our official launch in September 2006.
We now have over 400 people in attendance and 150 volunteers–it’s been amazing and challenging and we’re just getting started. When Jesus moves into the neighborhood, crazy stuff happens!
